Idaho 4-H Rabbit Program
"4-H is a community of young people across America learning leadership, citizenship and life skills".
The 4-H program didn't really start in one time or place. It began around the start of the 20th century in the work of several people in different parts of the United States who were concerned about young people.
The idea behind the 4-H program was to have a practical and "hands-on" learning based on the desire to make public school education more connected to country life. Early programs tied both public and private resources together for the purpose of helping rural youth.
At Angel Rabbitry we believe our children are very important and need to learn how to interact with the public and with animals. We specialize in breeding our rabbits for temperament so that even the small children such as the Cloverbuds group (beginning at age 7) can learn how to care for an animal. The chance to learn to care for a living being and to interact with other people helps children to learn responsibility, be more self-confident, more responsive dealing with adults, authority, and other children. Being a part of 4-H teaches them all these things and makes it a lot of fun during the process.
We are also active with our local rabbit clubs and encourage the 4-H children to attend the local shows so they may have more practice with showing their animals.
Please contact us at angelrabbitry@gmail.com for availability of classes and or to purchase quality animals that they can win with and be proud of.
